I've got a 03 Yukon with a couple cluster lights out and a bad stepper motor. I was planning on attempting this tom. but have a couple problems.

1. No one, dealer or parts store, can tell me what bulbs I need.
-Since I'm just replacing with stock bulbs can they be plugged into the bases or do they need to be soldered in? Looking at Scotty Boys pictures it seems as though I can plug in the new bulbs.

2. Where do you get the stepper motors? Again, dealer and parts store are no help.

I don't want to tear my cluster apart if I can't get the parts. TIA

2003 and up gauge clusters require the bulbs to be soldered in. Since they need soldering, I'd just go ahead and swap out to leds and they should last the life of the vehicle. Stepper motors you can get on ebay or gmpartsdirect.com- http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_fro...gauge+stepper+motor&_sacat=See-All-Categories
There is a seller on ebay that does gauge cluster repair(stepper motors, one or all) and swaps out to leds.
