Hello everyone - I have a 2003 Yukon Denali with the Bose and onstar system. My cd player is acting up and may need to replace it. Is there a new version of my current system that also plays mp3 (data) like the newer vehicles? Or do I need to go to after market and if so what would you recommend?

Thanks and appreciate any help.

You're in luck, a 2003 has a DD slot so you can easily toss a NAV unit in there with all of the goodies.

I would personally recommend Kenwood if you're going for a NAV system, the Garmin in the Kenwood is superior to Alpine's NAV in my opinion (Alpine would be my second choice for NAV).

Something like this would give you NAV, Pandora streaming from your phone, bluetooth, iPod, etc...

You'll need that plus the adapter to tie into the Bose system so you can retain your chimes and have the Bose work without issues.

If you don't need NAV you can buy a much cheaper touch screen device that will do iPod and bluetooth plus other features for around half of the price. Something like this.

Do you lose the rear dvd and rear console controls when you replace the head unit?
