Storage area in 2011 cargo area

My users' manual says there is a storage area on the left side bay of the cargo area. I have none on either the right or the left only the area where the jack is stored. On the right side side (looking from the hatch) I have a speaker panel which I assume is the sub woofer. I have no other access on the left. My GMC Yukon has the optional air ride suspension with the autoride option. Did that delete the storage area or are 2011's just void of it?

The right side is the rear HVAC unit. The sub woofer is under and forward of the cup holders in the console. No other storage on the left except the jack compartment has some additional room. I store jumper cables and a tow strap in there.
