Have a issue no one can figure out. I was blessed and given an 02 Tahoe and I can not keep it running. The guy had it in a shop 4ever to have it tuned up and the instrument cluster fixed. I got it and it was extremely low on oil coolant and tranny fluid there was at least 3-4 ground wires not connected well relays in wrong several fuses needed changed and u think all the things we found would have fixed it but no such luck. So this is what it does first I notice the low washer fluid light then going down the hwy the door locks will lock and unlock then the battery light will come on and it dies usually u could put it in neutral and start it back up next thing even if it has 3/4of a tank of gas the fuel gauge drops to empty and it won't start says low fuel and then usually have to let it set and then jump it to get it going may be the next day. I thought maybe the passlock sensor but I don't know it did have to small of a battery but I changed that also got the right size in it. I am sinking fast I'm a single full time grandma and this truck is keeping me out of work and just about homeless I have to have a vehicle please help

I am sorry but it is a little hard to follow along. Let’s take it one at a time

First of all have you had the codes pulled and what are they?

Have you had the alternator tested?

What ground wires were not connected and have they since been properly attached?

i’m sure much more knowledgeable folks will chime in soon . . .

Gotta a whole lotta running in to more whole lotta and all of the lotta is jumbled together. My head hurts.

Plus, I am wondering, it was at the shop for only "tuning" meaning what was done? What was wrong with the instrument cluster and what was done to "fix" it? What has the shop said about all the other problems or have you even taken it back to the shop?

Was someone else overseeing the tune up prior to the vehicle being given to you? Were you given the vehicle with the disclosure it was “fixed” and ready to go?
