Oh no kiddin? That's news to me. I really don't know, I assume it's factory tint. All I know is it's absolutely horrible. I'm going to take it apart tomorrow to look at the back of the stereo again. I don't remember what the connection looked like for the antenna but I was thinking it was something special. I'm seeing some decent aftermarket antennas on ebay, wonder if I could just run one of those up the side and place it up top somewhere. Can't be any worse than what I have now.
You might want to consider buying a "shark fin" antenna that is black and mount it on the roof on the opposite side of the On Star antenna. That way the AM-FM antenna would be in the clear and up high. Simple to install and won't be obnoxious looking. Most people wouldn't even notice it if you mount it the same distance in from the front and the side of the On Star antenna.

At this point I really don't care what it'd look like as long as it worked. It's the worst in any vehicle I've ever had, and at this point I'm leaning towards it being a crap stereo. I never use the GPS, and know it'd be a pain to put in an aftermarket stereo at this point to keep the back up camera and all that. But I'll give it some thought.
