Hey Scott - Thanks for sharing, I just love the look of your setup! I just bought a 2007 Suburban with some gaudy 22 inch chrome wheels on it and am looking for something different and am consiering the same stup you have. After running this wheel/tire combo for a while do you have any regrets or any changes you would make? I'm thinking of maybe 275s instead of 285s and the +35 offset so the tires are tucked in a bit more. Would you recommend any of these changes to your setup? Have you had any clearance issues since? Also, how have the Nitto Terra Gappler's wore? Lastly, as far as the leveliing kit, did you just do the front and how much did you lift to level?

Thanks man!
John

John, this combo is perfect, it never has rubbed, it's really not close at all. I would not recommend going +35 it would look odd to say the least. Mine do not stick out past the line on the fenders, they are almost perfectly flush. The grapplers are nice and quiet for a big tire. I have made several trips to FL and they are wear on the tire is perfect, but I rotate every oil change. The only downside is that I did loose about 1mpg, over the factory 20's but its a small price to pay for the look.

Thanks Scott, awesome review. I went with a little smaller tire and a little more + offset and I'm happy too.

Looks good...have you considered ditching the chrome handles / mirror covers?

Nah, I kinda like the little bit of chrome. I wasn't going for the blacked-out look, just like black because they're easy to clean and maintain and look good. I really contemplated chrome wheels too but decided on the black and am glad I did. Now everyone is calling it the FBI rig! :roflsquared:

What backspacing would I use with these wheels and the +18 offset. I am looking to do the same set up with my 4" lifted suburban.
