I recently purchased a 2005 Suburban Z71. It has been getting hot out so I turned on the rear AC for the kids to learn that it only blows warm air. The first thing I did was verify that the blend door is working, which it is.

Next I stuck my head under the hood to find that a AC block off kit was installed. What typically fails that cause people to install the block off kit. I would assume it would have to be a leak, but where?

Any help you can offer would be great. I need to get the rear ac up and working before it gets too much hotter.

Thanks

The typical thing that fails is the high side or low side hosed that run from from to back. That's usually why people put the block off kits in place, it's cheaper than replacing the lines from front to back.

I am thinking it has to be a leak somewhere. I am going to have someone pressure test the lines for me.

I am not sure why someone would unhook the suction and liquid lines if the rear TXV was bad, either way the rear AC does not work.
