Hey Y'all,

First-time poster from Dallas, TX. I bought my 2013 Texas Edition Chevy Tahoe 2WD about 6 months ago and I already have the itch to start changing it up. I will be installing a Rough Country 2" leveling kit this weekend but I am still not sure which route I should take in regards to the Texas Edition chrome inserts (includes grille, side view mirrors, TEXAS sized side emblems, window lining). I am going to put a new wheel package with bigger tires on it and potentially a new exhaust system, superchip, and darker tint to remove any signs of fishbowling (especially in a blacked-out Tahoe).

Thoughts on "BLACKOUT" look vs. adding some black/chrome wheels? If a suspension lift is necessary, assume I am going to lift it another 3.5' inches.

Thanks and looking forward to getting your thoughts on my mods. I have always wanted a black on black Tahoe but never considered a full blackout.

What's your preference? It's your truck...who cares what we think. Take a look at some of our trucks and see what you like. There is no shortage of photos of murdered NNBS vehicles here. But there are also some with chrome accents. Check the galleries and see what strikes your fancy. :)

First off, Welcome from Houston. Second - If you've never considered it, its a damn good look. Lots on here have it, and I'm sure you've seen some around town too. Personally, I like some chrome. I don't care for the murdered out look, but that's just me.

You have a fresh canvas and can do with it whatever you please. If you're looking for chrome, I have a set of CK375s with great tires for sale in the for sale section. I'm sure since you're relatively close we could work something out.

I too have the same dilemma of blackout vs leaving a little chrome on my 2011 denali XL. I think i am going to leave the handles and roof rack chrome for a while and see if it grows on me. It drives me nuts though seeing my chrome wheels dirty all the time (note i am not in a warm climate, to wash them daily).

My thought is to do black rims with some chrome accents. I think eventually I will want to completely black it out but I think I will "wean" off of the chrome and slowly remove the chrome accents.

I was thinking something like this for my wheels and putting on some 285/65/20 tires. Thoughts on these rims? Thoughts on the tire size?

Thanks for the warm welcome. Can't wait to get started.

Where is the 'for sale' section for this site that you were referring to?
