sun visor electrical connector 99 tahoe.. WTF

ok , i just got a replacement visor off ebay due to mine having the mirror cover missing. it has the factory connector with the truck side wiring cut about 3 inch back. ive been trying to figure out how to disconnect this damn factory connector so i can just plug it into the loom when i replace the old one. how do you pull this thinga apart!!! i feel like an idiot trying to get this thing apart without mangleing it!

If you look closely this one is already disconnected, plug is partially installed. It need pushed together to lock it.
As it's on the truck the visor side has a small tab on it. If you look at the truck side you can see where the tab locks in.
With a small screw driver you can lift the lock on the truck side and pull the plug apart.
Just have to get high enough to get the tab on the mirror side to slide under.

yes, that seems to be what i was looking at , but it wasnt coming easy and it seemed like i was going to bust apart the whole thing! thanks for the confirmation and pic!

Yep, that one was a pain in the butt too.
Just take your time, make sure your holding the plug and not pulling on the wires.
Like the saying goes, a picture is worth 1,000 words.

Hopefully so. Just one of those pain in the butt connectors.

Cut the plug off and use butt connectors.
