Ok so here’s the deal. I decided to replace my sunroof track this afternoon. Not a terrible job, easy enough. I got the track pieces out and noticed the main guide pieces were way off from each other from the driver side to the passenger side. I’m not sure how to adjust these pieces to make them even again. I am wondering if anyone in here has ran across this problem before and if they could point me in the right direction. I’m not even sure which one of either is in the correct position. The pics I have attached are of the roof in the all the way forward position the “vent” position I guess you could call it. The one further back is the passenger side and the shorter is the driver side.

Ok so I have figured out that the passenger side is at the correct spot. Not I just don’t know how the get the driver side track adjusted back to where it should be.

Update: I evened the 2 tracks up to where I thought was right by dropping the headliner and disconnecting the motor. I really just made the driver side match the passenger side but I’m not 100% that this is the correct position. Is there anyone that could measure theirs for me and let me know it should be sitting? In the closed position with all of the track reassembled they measure about 5/8 of an inch away from the front of the track. I will attach a pic for reference. This has been quite a bit more of a project than what I had anticipated lol. The sunroof had been broke since I purchased the Yukon and apparently when it broke they must have disconnected the motor and forced it shut and got everything out of wack.

Ok just an update for anyone else that encounters this issue. The main piece that pushes/pulls the sunroof should be sitting between 7 1/4-7 1/2” back from the very front of the track in the normal closed position.
