Super hard bouncy rear end with new shocks.

I’ve got Tony’s 07+ 2/3 4 cornering kit. I put it on a year ago and the truck rode completely awesome. I tore a rear boot in one of my shocks which took out my compressor. Even without the air ride the truck rode pretty good, but liked to bottom out much easier (no travel mod).

I bought all new Delco shocks and a Dorman compressor. Put them on and now the rear of the truck rides like a pogo stick. Something is causing it to have way too much air pressure is how it feels. It jossles the living crap out of you. Almost feels like there is some calibration on the compressor that is off. All I did for install was to swap the parts. Is there something I missed? It really feels like too much air in the shocks.

2010 Escalade Base AWD. I bought the Delco 580-450 as those were the ones that the local GM dealer cross referenced with my truck.

You sure your not sitting on the axle?

Yes, definitely not on the axle. I have suspension it is just really stiff. Feels like an air shock with too much air in it.

Amusingly the ride height is a wee bit lower than it was with the other shocks. I don't quite understand what could be different

Do me a favor. Pull the airline oit of the shocks and pull thr fuse pit and take it for a ride. See how it feels

You pegged it. Fuse was shot, looked good but didn't pass a continuity test. Doh!

I guess what I experienced was bottoming. Going to make me hurry up and do the free travel mod as it is awful without the air!
