SS and GTR, what kind of tune (dyno, EFI, etc.) was completed. Also just curious regarding the change in gas mileage.

Thanks!

I would recommend at least a shift kit on the transmissions with boost.

I ran 11psi on my Tahoe with the only mod to the tranny being a Vette Servo, and she still ran great. I think that was just a fluke! We have a TVS1900 on the TBSS with no transmission mods, no issues, and a TVS2300 on the Silverado SS with a Trans Go HD2 and servos, with no issues.

Blackbear tuned before and after all 3 of my superchargers...lol.

No significant change in gas mileage. Gas mileage gets effected once you get into boost. If you just drive normally, there is no change, once you get into boost, it'll suck gas.

The biggest change on my truck was when I put the 4.10s in it. Then I ate gas like a champ.

ok so i visited the lysholm website, and they are doing R&D for GM and Chevy trucks and SUVs. Said to email them and you could get the kit for $2500 (regular price $6200). There is a dealer in town, think i should partake?

Hey Zed 71,

... In my case, the truck is totally stock except for the cat-back muffler kit and the K&N kit... so it worked out that the Vortech supplied "handheld computer tuner" was just fine. We used dyno tested and logged it and decided that it seemed solid for now. The gas mileage dropped a tiny bit... we used to get about 16 to 17 mpg city and now its about 14 to 15 mpg city... but waaaay faster! :)

Hi everyone,
I have 2009 LT, and I am interested to power-up my Tahoe. I don't want to jump all the way to SuperCharged Tahoe (though I love to).
I enjoyed watching GTR's YouTube, but I need step by step guide to do things.
Thanks

you could buy a 6.2 and put a camshaft in and have the heads ported and tuned for under 10k and you would have a ton of power

Hello,

I'd suggest going with a cold air system and a nice cat-back exhaust kit and an aftermarket programmer as a starting point.... or you could just save up and then install a supercharger!! :)
