1st post.
close to pulling the trigger on a 2018 5.3. Drop is first, exhaust next. On to my question.
I want to put a supercharger on this thing. I have fabed a turbo 5.0, and sprayed a 5.0, 240z etc.
I'm seeing a lot of screw compressors on the Tahoes. Is there a reason? I'm not a fan of water to air intercoolers, or meth injection on a Daily driver. might as well spray a charge of NOX to cool at higher boost levels..
The centrifugal (procharger) seems to have a more complete package.
Though the torque curve will not even be close. Why do I not see folks running centrifugals on the Tahoes 5.3?
I really havnt found a screw/whipple that is complete with a tune or tuner.
Pros - Cons? real world experience..
