I'm still mulling over exactly what I want to do with my suspension and figured I'd throw this up to get your guys advice. I know this will make RT happy but I've pretty much all but ruled out lowering the truck. I really like the clearance I have after having cars for so long. My preference would be to raise it but I can't lift the truck really as it is my family hauler and I don't need my wife getting irritated with me for not being able to get my 3 month old daughter in the truck either. That said I've basically decided to level it out. I'm thinking I want to lift the front end a couple of inches to level it and throwing on some bigger tires to essentially give me the lifted look to some degree. I'm just not sure if meatier tires would look good given the wheels that are currently on it. I would prefer to have 20's on it rather than the 22's and that may happen at some point. What's your guys thought? Lift the front and give it bigger tires on the existing wheels? Lift it but try to sell the wheels for different ones/bigger tires? Or screw it and just lower the rear to level it and keep my rims/tires? All input is appreciated.

depends on what you want to spend. I would just lower the rear to match the front. Then you dont have to buy new wheels/tires.

If your in the market for new tires then maybe lift the front to match and get you a bigger set of tires

I say 2/3 drop it, you're not really losing any "ground clearance", your pumpkin is still the same height off the ground, you shouldn't have any rubbing issues, if you do it right, it'll still ride nice, and it'll still look badass, this is just my $.02

Would look 10x better with the rear dropped 2" or get some smaller wheels and level it on some 20s and 33s maybe. Would look good with keys, 2" coil spacers, some bilstein 5100s, and some nice 20x10s on 33x1250 toyos or something.

You can go lower than a 2/3 drop with 22's. Just look at guys like MOB and Trick. I just don't want to lower it much as this truly is a family mobile for me. In my case that means it will go off pavement when we go camping, when we go to the lake, etc etc. Which is a large part of why I don't want to lower it much. The other part is I used to own a 72 K5 with a 4 inch lift before I got married and sold it just before I did (7 years ago) as I needed the cash. Since then I've only owned cars and sitting up higher again feels awesome. Granted it's not as high as my old K5 but I still am hesitant to lower it. I think I probably will go with the majority have chosen and lower the rear 2 inches and keep my wheels/tires. It would be the easiest route to go and it will still look good. I haven't totally ruled out the 2/3(or 4) and agree the wheel gap reduction will look good. The more it's suggested the more I consider it. I realize that I won't lose clearance but I will lose the ride height. Then again, I have been aching for another K5 and will likely get one within the next year or so when finances permit and then I can raise that to my heart's content. Thanks for the advice so far everyone.

No problem man, and it's just my personal opinion. I think your truck/suv whatever everyone want's to call them would look killer lowered just a little...just to close those gaps, but it is your ride and you do what you wish with it ;)
