Suspension Lift and Spacers?

Hey,
I have a Tahoe with a 6" NTD Rough Country lift. I know my torsion keys are very close to stock height but am I going to run into any issues (such as the control arms binding, the RC shocks overextending, etc) if I reindex the keys and add 1.5" coil spacers?
I'm looking to clear the new set of 315/70/17 tires without rubbing on full turn/bumps. I have trimmed as much as I can without it looking goofy and the truck currently sits level.

Well I ended up ordering 1.5" coil spacers. I'll see how the truck clears 315/70/17s at 7.5" of lift.

If you don't go more than 1.5" you should be OK. They sell shock extenders or relocaters to move the shock up a couple inches. Either that or get longer shocks but you shouldnt run into problems with everyday driving. Off road is where you will notice the shocks bottoming out if too short for your setup. Truck looks boss.

Excellent. They are Rough Country shocks designed for the 6" lift... I did this lift a few years ago and don't remember if they had shock extensions or not but I can fabricate and weld if I have to.

My big concern is how the rear axle doesn't sit center in the wheel wells since the rear pivots on the control arms (the longer the coil springs the more the rear walks toward the cab).

More than likely need to extend your rear brake line and also upgrade to an adjustable panhard rail so you won’t dog track.

I was 12 when this body style came out. I remember always wanting two vehicles as a kid... A black Pontiac WS6 Trans Am and a lifted black Z71 Tahoe! I built this truck and ended up giving it to my wife before I ever got to drive it lol!

So I finally got around to doing the spacers and reindexing the keys.
Truck now sits at 44.25" to the wheel well on fresh 315/70/17s. Its now at that awkward height that I have to hop to get into the truck lol...

I can get away without extending the brake line (if I do anything I'll extend the Rough Country extension bracket another 1"). I'm ordering and adjustable panhard bar because the axle definitely sits a hair to the left now.
