Suspension Suggestions Please

What's going on group? So My '03 Yukon Denali (NOT The XL) Feels As If It's Time To Change My Suspension. I Purchased Shadow (Her Name) Just Over 3 Years Ago In NYC. Now If Anyone Knows NYC Then You Know How Much Damage NYC Roads Can/Will Do To Your Suspension. So With This Being My First Time Doing The Suspension On A Truck (I Used To Drive Maximas). What Would Some Of You Recommend For Me To Go With As A Set Up? What Brand Of Strut Do You Think Would Be Best? Im Looking For A Stiffer Type Ride But Nothing Too Harsh Either, Just A Bit Stiffer Than Stock. Also The Thing With The Air Ride In The Back? What Can I Do To Just Change It To A Regular Style Setup Minus The Air Ride? My Price Range Is A Bit Negotiable But Im Not Looking To Break The Bank Either. SUGGESTIONS?

Id take off the auto air level in the back and delete the autoride shocks and install Bilstien 4600 shocks.

I actually just installed the Bilsteins 4600 series rear shocks on my lowered 03 Tahoe. Rides like brand new again.

I'd recommend the 4600's as well. Make sure that the jounce stops in the front are in good shape. Actually just replace them, they likely are worn out.

Also in the rear you will want to replace the springs, as the springs are likely worn for one, and additionally are much softer in the airride equipped vehicles since the air shock helps support the vehicle. 81071 is the standard height/duty spring. 81069 is the HD/z71 spring that will leave you with a higher rear ride height 1-2"

Here are the two options:

MOOG Part # 81071 Constant Rate Spring
Bar Size (In): 0.640 Inch
Free Height (In): 16.042 Inch
Install Height (In): 5.266 Inch

MOOG Part # 81069 Constant Rate Spring
Bar Size (In): 0.640 Inch
Free Height (In): 17.177 Inch
Install Height (In): 5.266 Inch

I prefer MOOG "problem solver" for a factory style UCA

If you are going that route do the pitman and idler arms, inner and outer tie rods too.

Can the 4600's be used on a non lowered rig that's eventually going to be lowered, with no issues? I also need shocks, bad!

Yeah, thats what shock relocaters/extensions are for. They come with most kits
