Swap out third row captains for bench

Looked at a buddy's Suburban last night that had the 3rd row bench. Attachment points looked the same.

Did anyone ever figure out if you could swap the third row 2 seater for a third row 3 seater? I'm looking at trading my 8 seater tahoe with all bench seats, for a 6 seater with captains chairs. I would like to swap out the third row if they are interchangeable, so I'll have more room for my daughters friends.
