My local tire/suspension shop talked me into swapping out the ride-leveling air suspension on my '07 Denali XL. The swap went well and I enjoy the ride just fine. However, their attempts to override the sensors has been ongoing for some time now. Yesterday, they just sort of gave up. Said they had a kit to override the shock sensors but they could not override the compressor sensor without actually changing the compressor...which I don't need with a spring suspension. Surely there's a way to get the error to go away, isn't there? Can I just pull the compressor fuse? Other options?

I think there are a few fuses to that part of the system. Is your compressor dead or was it just your shocks?

I believe theres an RTD fuse that needs to be pulled while the battery is disconnected but not sure on the NNBS. I think it’s one that’s not labeled in the underhood fuse block. There’s a few threads on it here.

Are you getting error messages or just the compressor kicking on all the time? The best thing as mentioned would be to pull the fuse and I would just take off the compressor and put some heat shrink over the connector to protect it. They should have added resistors to the electronic shock sensors to stop the DIC messages and then fuse for the compressor. It is really that simple..

Auto level control or ALC COMP should be fuse 61 under the hood. Electronic suspension control/auto level control exhaust ESC-ALC EXH should be fuse 2 I am pretty sure this controls the exhaust valve on the compressor to release air.
