Installed new Eibach sway bars. I have questions. Just FYI: I am running a McGaughys 2-3 spindle drop front spring drop rear. How do you know when to stop tightening the front end links? I started to tighten and then backed off after looking at them. Are they suppose to fit at a certain angle?
Last question did anyone replace the rear end links. Should I use a shorter link in the rear due to the drop? and if so where can I find this?:hmm:

Tighten them down enough to snug, but don't over due it and be too squished. Won't last as long. And then re check in a few weeks.
I have shortened front and rear links. Make a big difference. You can buy them from Norcal, or DJM. Then you will need to move sway bar over so it doesn't hit panhard bar. I kept mine in stock location, but modified panhard bar bracket. Relocate is easier, just have to move to driver side, and drill new hole for bracket. Easy

First off Thx. for the info . I like the way your Tahoe sits.
I have adjusted the front and found that bar should be parallel to ground. End links should be vertical and no more than 20 Deg tilt. AS for the rear that is concerning me. The angle. I was thinking of ordering some Hellwig adjustable end links but now that you mention DJM. I will look to see what is available. You mentioned relocating stuff. I am only droped 3 in. the rear with Mcgaughys springs. Does that apply to this or is that only when you go with Nocal's or DJM drop that is popular here?

No problem bro, glad to help. Thanks for the compliments.
I'm running McGaughy drop stuff also, so can apply to any brand if needed.

I like my sway bars as close to parallel with ground as possible also. Seems to handle better that way. Front and rear.

As for rear, even with 3" drop, that sway bar is gonna angle down some. At one time I had used some links from an OBS Escalade, and worked well. Only issue, they are short. Probably too short for 3" drop. But cheap, so I liked. Or cheaper way, cut and re weld your stock links.

As for relocating what I mean. When you get shorter rear links, the bar can hit the panhard bracket if not shifted/moved to the side, to clear bracket. I don't know if that will apply to you, with 3" drop. But if/when you get shorter rear links you will know. And if needed, it's real simple to do. Just have to re drill a hole or two and the rest are all ready there for sway brackets. Just moving bar brackets over to the side so the bar can not be under the bracket and either hold you up, or hit when suspension compresses.

If you end up getting some shorter rear links and need help, just ask if you need some pics or info. Glad to help.

okay Austin. I see what your talking about with the panhard. I think I'll be okay. Thinking I'm gonna just order some Hellwig adjustable links so I can set it right. Thx. again.

I suggest new hardware as well. Grade 8 bolts, 1/2" x 2.5" x 13 thread. Washers on both sides and lock nuts. And don't forget the loc-tite.

Cool I was wondering about that. The OEM are swivel on the bottom where the shorter links are not. So good info. Thx.
I did notice Energy suspension sells a swivel shorter end link but have not checked into much on the info yet.

yup i told people here about the upgraded bolts. There is play with oem bolts thru the sleeves.

ALso one thing about the djm if you ever cut the bumpstops off the frame to get mroe travel if you dont relocate the bar it hits the pabhard bar bracket on pass side.
