So I need to install my dash cams. I have the Rexing V1P and the Rexing Smart hardwire kit. In my PPV, I tapped power in the overhead console since i was only looking for switchable power. With the new Smart Hardwire kit I need both constant and switchable power so that i can use Parking Mode on the camera. I got my circuit tester and finding a constant power source was easy but it seemed like none of the other fuses had switchable power in the fuse box by the drivers door. Where else can i tap switchable power? Also, it looks like the fuses in the smart kit are 2 amp. Am i reading that right? So if i was doing a fuse swap it would need to be with a 2amp fuse, correct?

Use the upfitter box located to the left of the brake pedal. There's a thread on here with pics and more info, think it's titled something like "dash cam install".

EDIT: Here's the thread with pics and info about the constant power, switched power, retained accessory power (Rap), and ground pins available in the upfitter box

Thanks for the link. I did some testing and it looks like I can use the always hot 2amp spot in the fuse box and for the switched power I'll need to make a jumper to go from the upfitter box to the connector for the switched power.

Once the front cameras are done I can work on getting the back window camera connected.
