I didn't drop the headliner. I did remove the passenger side visor though. Gave me just enough room to run the wires. I drilled a hole in the roof right above the passenger door and dropped the wires down the A pillar. Grounded it there and ran the power across to the switch.

Ezdaar, I do need that radar mount and power cord with mute button. I was going to mount it where I put the switches but not anymore.

I Love mine. it tucks high and tight. all but disappears under these huge onstar mirrors.
Keep the allen in glove box tho, as it tends to loosen over time, then flops around.

Have you tried locktite or something on them? I think I can get the plug cheaper locally at a stereo shop. I get pretty good discounts since I used to do custom installs and bought from them all the time.

its a dbl ball setup pinched between two plates. just the way its made it will loosen up over time. no real way to stop it with out going hulk on the threads and potential stripping them.
Take another look at the images. you will under stand more now.

Yes by all means find that plug cheaper. I mainly linked it for visibility.. not so much the price.

I see what you mean now. Still not bad though, I do like the mount. Even with the super suction mount I have it still falls from time to time. Damn thing swings down, hits the steering column and sets off my alarm warning. SUCKS!

It doesn't loosen up as bad as I made it out to be. I've only had to tighten it twice in the 2 years I have had it.. Just wanted you to be aware of it.

you can also get the short wire that plugs into the power and data plug for the onstar mirror if you dont want to run wires.. it just doesnt have the mute feature.
