$400?? They sure are proud of that muffler!
Well the whole system is near $1,000, and there is only a short front pipe, a tail pipe, tip, clamps and the muffler.

I guess it has to all add up.

Obviously you don't want to change the whole system but if you're not happy w/ the Corsa touring I just put the Billy Boat exhaust on my 08 Hoe w/ the 5.3 and it is the best exhaust I've ever had! It has pretty much no sound when you're cruising but sounds sick when you get on it. I bought it w/ no clue on the sound and was very happy w/ it! It's 800 for the kit straight from BB and is 3 pcs so easy on! Here's the link.....

As far as fittament goes, it is a muffler...steel and pipe, any shop worth a salt can make it fit on anything. So 6.2, 5.3, 4.8 does not matter, it will fit.

I was going to go with that same exhaust (sport) but decided to just remove the resonator and install the Volant tips first. Holy noise Batman.

The 6.2 is just a different animal than the 5.3 and sounds/reacts to mods differently. I did install the Volant CAI at the same time and mine sounds like a spaceship when you get on it.

Well I put the muffler on and I like the sound. Mellower all around, but still pretty cool at full throttle.
So now I have the sport muffler for sale at $200, less than half of new price.

Glad it worked out. So just how much quieter is it on the inside and did you try and ride shot gun just to compare?

That's a great price for someone looking for an exhaust. Just to confirm, that's a cat back and not just the muffler right?

No I just changed the muffler. No reason to change the whole thing, the only difference in the two kits is the muffler. New price on the system is over $900 and the muffler alone, $450. BTW they don't usually sell the muffler alone, but since I had bought the system, this was more of a customer service deal(though still pricey).

The sound more close to stock, except WOT is still noticeably louder. It is still a straight through muffler, which is amazing since they both are, but the touring has a few more perforations in it.

I have a Denali 6.2L and has 3" pipes, like the Escalade and 6.2L Tahoes. It would be a good muffler for these vehicles, though a muffler shop would have to install it.
