I have a keenwood kac-9104d powering 2 qpower deluxe 12s in a ported box. I have my subs wired down to 2 ohms on the 2 channels on the amp (yea the amp is a mono block but has 2 channels?). The qpowers are 1500 watt max but idk the rms, cant find it anywere. They hit hard, id like a little more. What im thinking is 4 kicker 10CVT652 with a planet audio AC1600.4 and stick 1 in each door. My question is am I underpowering my 12s?, If so what size amp would i need?. 2nd, am I wasting my time with the kickers? would i be better fabricating up the door for 8s instead? Thanks in advance!

EDIT-Kenwood kac-7205, a big differance.

Crutchfield says that amp is good for 500 watts RMS x 1 at 4 ohms (900 watts x 1 at 2 ohms). If those subs are rated for 1500w max then id say the amp isnt powerful enough for two of them if its meant to put out 900w to one sub at 2 ohms. I never understood why kenwood mono block amps has multiple terminals either. I just got the x1200m to run my new fi ssd12 at 800w rms. Hopefully someone will chime in and be able to tell you what will power those subs more efficiently. Im not too knowledgeable when it comes to high powered amps.
