does anyone know how hard/what would be involved in swapping a NP246 Tcase for the NP241? as far as i know the 241 is a manual selection (that i dont have). i want to do this because from what i have heard i need a non-slip yolk case to do a SAS. on top of knowing the 246 has problems with the pump inside creating a hole (that i suspect is starting on mine). kep in mind i do plan on doing this my self in a driveway. shouldnt be too hard right?

rebuild it. don't know what to do about an eliminator but i am sure something is out there. adding a 246 to a vehicle not equipped with it is a integration nightmare.

Are you talking about swapping in a NP241? In replacement of your NP246

Or the other way around, swapping in a NP246? I'm confused right now

yeah. the wiring is what seems to mess people up. i think the back shaft will still work because the 241 has a slip yolk in the back still. though i would change that too at some point but thats besides the point. but me and wires dont always get along

There's a product for your the pump issue. It just slips in after you open up the case and will protect against the pump knocking against the case. It's basically a glorified washer. It's easy to put in.

You have an electronic transfer case now, right? That's more convenient that a manual isn't it?
