Tahoe Hybrid spoiler and applique's Fit regular Tahoe?

It is 100% impossible to do this.

1. As I posted in the first side by side pic, the top of the hybrid applique is a LOT wider on top, it tucks under the hybrid spoiler which is shaped differently at the edges. It won't fit, you probably won't be able to open the glass part of the liftgate, and it would stick out like a sore thumb.

2. The only difference tween the G4 and G5 tails is the pleat, they still have the same general dimensions, and you'll get the same gap as in the second pic.

But why are you even considering this when the natural part tween the esky spoiler and the G5s is the esky appliques?

I like the look that the Hybrid shows in the grey circles. But i know that where the red circles are a space maybe there, but im not sure how much.

Okay, look at the red circles and notice how the spoiler wraps around the top of them, the non hybrid spoilers don't do that, they stop at the edge of the glass. The top of that applique sticks out a lot farther, it's going to look misaligned. Plus the bottom of those appliques doesn't align with any tail but that of the Hybrid. And before you think to yourself 'I'll get hybrid tails' ... those won't work either without a custom harness because one of their sections is led.

No one has researched this more than me because I was desperate to get esky tails and 3rd on my Hybrid, and I don't give up easily, but in the end it just won't work right without changing the whole liftgate assy.

Time to let this one go bud.

The bumper cover is a straight swap, but you also need to swap hoods.

Did some digging myself today and the rear end is the trickiest part as discussed. Soul sea knows what he is talking about.

I considered just going with my Ltz rear spoiler so that I retain the latch window functionality but what's giving me pause is the custom harness requirement for the hybrid rear lights per soul.

Not 100 percent sure but willing to bet that the rear latch window needs to mate to a hybrid rear hatch door in order to fit the hybrid rear spoiler even if the actual hatch door are the same dimensions as the Ltz version because again the hybrid rear hatch window does not pop open. Again per soul the base Tahoe rear spoiler attaches directly to the hatch window. I don't know how the hybrid rear spoiler installs as the hybrid glass seems to be shorter height wise.

I estimate the cost of parts from my dealer with about a 15 percent discount will be around $6 to $7k. All this installed at a good shop here in pricey Seattle pushes the total project to $12k roughly.

This doesn't even take into account how I'd find someone to make a custom harness.

I'd love a hybrid look with the base Tahoe workhorse reliability but that dang harness plus lift gate pushes the cost up to range rover euro tuner kit levels easily with none of the plug and play ease (I once owned a 2011 supercharged brabus-startech-kahn rr).

Hybrid Taillights (LED) on a non-Hybrid Yukon

Ok.. Maybe this was already covered ... but I was curious if I bought the Hybrid taillights (I think they are same for Tahoe and Yukon) will they fit on my 2009 Yukon Denali ?? I think the LED is a bit more classy ... and I rather buy manufacture other than after market.

These are the LED tail lights on the 2012 Yukon.. the tail light design is similar to Tahoe---rather the upper half above the reverse light is LED and the lower (turn signal) is standard bulb.

But I am curious if I ordered the 2012 LED tail lights for the Yukon would they fit on my 2009 non-Hybrid Yukon Denali ?? Thanks!

Ok I just called GMC and they said its the same part number for non-hybrid and hybrid tail lights ... from 2008 to 2010. Which is making me think they WILL fit ... now I just have to know if I need a new HARNESS for hybrid tails.. the man didn't know the answer to that one..

No the hybrid Denali is the same as your denail aesthetically. Hybrid Denali has different tails than non Denali hybrid. Lol if you can make sense of that

I know that, but I'm curious if I buy the hybrid taillights will they FIT on my non-hybrid?

I called a Chevrolet dealership and she was saying it was the same part number for the hybrid and non hybrid taillights.. which makes me believe they will fit.

Now I'm just curious if there is an additional harness involved..
