I just purchased an 07 Tahoe LTZ, long story short it was for my wife, but as she drove it her back started to hurt, so I ended up giving her my 05 Rainier.

I have noticed that the part numbers for the seat covers for a GMC Denali are different than the Tahoe LTZ. Heated but NOT cooled seats. in Ebony:
LTZ: Drivers side
Bottom - 20779849
Back - 15865828

Denali Drivers side
Bottom 20895540
Back - 15827115

The Denali seat covers are about $105 more for the set

The seat back and bottom cushions are the same, as is the frame of the seat. The seat backs are different as the LTZ has plastic and the Denali is leather covered, but otherwise appear to be the same.

My question is this.
1) Is there extra seat padding on the Denali covers?
2) The stitching appears to be the same for both, but is the leather pattern different.

Thanks

I believe it is the leather its self that is different, Denali has a softer leather.

That is one thing I noticed today, looked at a Denali in a parking lot noticed that the leather was not as bumpy, it seemed smother, more like a Buick Leather.

Has anyone that has had both a LTZ and a Denali, found that the Denali is any more comfortable?

I have had an Avalanche LTZ and Tahoe LTZ and also own an escalade right now (same as Denali leather) and the denali/esky Nuance leather is much softer and more comfortable. Totally different leather.

felixgun,
Do you think it is because the leather is a better quality that makes it sit better, or there is a little more cushion?

The reason I ask is there is a little wear on my drivers and passenger seat bottoms, I am considering replacing the leather before it is no longer available. If I am going to do it, I want to go with the better leather...

Both. I felt like the Tahoe and avalanche leather was less thick and the leather was kind of sub par. The nuance leather used in Denali's and Escalade's kill it. I drive both constantly so I was always noticing this exact thing. Go with the nuance leather you won't regret it.

I looked at Katzkin, but I could not figure out how to just order the front seats... I do not need the entire set...
