Just wanted to provide an update for yall-

Took it to a highly rated local shop to get a second opinion, and after 5 mins they were able to solve the issue. So the tires on the rear are worn down a little more than the front, and when the trucks in auto 4wd, its causing the fronts to speed up to match the rear, which was causing that “jerking” feeling like a misfire. Tech told me he thought it was a misfire too until he really drove it and hooked it up to their scanner. When put it 2wd its as smooth as can be. Honestly I never would’ve though that was the issue.
Yeah that’s a weird one. How the hell did that happen? Burnouts and/or did you not rotate the tires every 6 months?

Honestly I cant remember the reason why. My sister had it for a couple months prior while her car was broken down and for whatever reason put 2 new tires on the front, although I have my suspicion she kept the rears over inflated since they’re worn in the middle alot more than the outsides. And she definitly would’nt have gotten them rotated lol

Is there a compelling reason to run the drivetrain in AUTO fulltime?
Nope, didnt even think of that before hand, will definitly run it in 2wd except when I need. Being in Virginia theres few times you need 4wd around here lol
