I am having a few problems with my '04 Tahoe.

I apologize if this is the wrong place to post this, and would be happy to move it, if need be.

I have a check engine light and am pulling 0171 and 0174, bank 1 and bank 2 are running lean. I am also having problems with it idling rough when it is cold outside. Aside from this, I see no problems with power loss, other than the occasional hesitation when hitting the accelerator when it is idling rough.

I have ran injector cleaner through it, and have also since replace the MAF sensor. I do not know where to go with this, as it is getting quite cold where I am at, it is becoming increasingly annoying. I am willing to do just about anything.

I called a repair shop, and asked about a tune up, but he told me it is unlikely a tune-up would correct the issue.

I'm at a loss, any input and assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I've done a little research and found that cleaning the throttle body can help with rough idling. But, I guess I don't see a reason why it would only occur when it is cold?

Any help at all I would greatly appreciate!

Yeah the throttle body for the rough idle

I'd use crc for it and just read directions and you should be fine

I'd bet a lot of $$ on intake gaskets....

When its cold the intake gaskets are leaking, letting air in.. Once the truck is warmed up, it more than likely leaks less too... Spray some carb cleaner around the gaskets - if they are leaking that bad I bet you'll get the motor to 'surge' on the spray it sucks in.

I'm 99.9 % sure this is your problem.

If you have acess to a scanner.. Watch the o2 sensors bounce when you spray carb cleaner around the bottom of the intake - thats a sure fire way to test for the issue..
