Tahoe rear seat wont fold down

When I first got my 95 Tahoe both rear seats would fold down now only the pass side rear one does driverside rear wont any ideas?

unless the bottom section are fully up and forward the lock cable they pull on may not release the seatback locking mechanism. if they are fully raised up and forward then the release cable might be stretched or broken somehow. it slithers inside the seat floor rail mounts.

Got around to looking at this the bottom part lifts up and folds forward fine, just the back wont go foward any ideas?

Cable isn't releasing the back, you should almost hear the mechanism releasing when you pull the bottom forward.

Under the bottom of the bottom of the seat, pull the cloth back (it's velcro'ed into place) - grab a pair of pliers, and pull on the cable. If the cable comes free, it broke....

I had the same problem once. It turned out to be something completely stupid. My drivers seat was too far back, so the back of the rear seat wouldn't go down. Moved my drivers seat forward a little and it was fine. Man did I feel stupid haha

Same problem happened to me, noticed i didn't hear the clicking from the cable and i checked the line..

Now I have to use a crowbar and hammer to drop the seat from the back until that damn chord comes in the mail

Where do ya put the crow bar Sp? I have no idea where the latch is to get to it. :emotions133:
