Tahoe swaying side to side on interstate/bumps

I'm curious if anyone has looked very closely at rear control arms. I think they get forgotten pretty often.

I just picked up a 2004 Yukon 4x4 a few months ago. Terrible sway on turns and on some dips on the highway, even more when I had passengers in the back. I started with energy suspension sway bar bushings on the back, then on the front. Sway is 90% gone. I had already gotten the front sway bar links so I put those in even though the sway was about gone. The bushings and links were cheap and I've been very pleased with the result so far. Might be worth a try before doing the rear LCAs.

I 2nd that gm should of made this stock poly bushings in front and rear sway bars.It make a huge difference in the sway on these 5000 boxes.Feels almost carlike-if you dont have poly sway bar end links and bushings get them throw the rubber stuff in the garbage.Also agree for 40-50 bucks you can do the front and rear you will be happy

These trucks are 20 years old. All rubber bushings are toast at this point.

I replaced a lot of suspension on my ‘03 Yukon, of course, I’m not lowered, but had the same problem on large dips in the road, it was downright scary. Once I did the front shocks (BILSTEIN 5100’s) and also the front and rear sway bars, she drove like a damn sport sedan! I was absolutely shocked at the new ability to corner, and no hint of the previous body roll I had before. I know it’s expensive, compared with just replacing bushings, but man, those Hellwig sway bars are the ****!
