HID Retrofits
.....
Option 1 is the simplest and most elegant and will give you HID output with the least amount of labor and moving parts. If you can afford an S2000 oem projector ($300 approx for a mint set), then you will likely have the best low beam output possible. The S2000s are incredible projectors with what many considered unsurpassed low beam output. Having recently done some estimation relative to their size compared to projectors like the FX-R that I know fit in the Tahoe low beam, I'm all but certain they will fit. But like all things retro one has to actually do it to know for sure. There are other low beam only projector options out there as well, pending fitment confirmation.
.....

This looks like the best option for my Tahoe! Serge for everything everything needed parts and labor about how much should I be expecting to pay for something like this...? I'm totally new here and I keep hearing about this awesome B.G guy... Show me folks.. PLS

A professional Tahoe retrofit can cost anywhere from $800 to $1500+ depending on the hardware one uses. B.G.'s prices are extremely competitive.

For example bulbs can range from $40 all the way up to $250 a pair, projectors range from $110 to $400 a pair, ballasts from $110 to $200 a pair. On the lower end of the price range you will find good quality aftermarket and replica components, and high quality OEM components on the higher end of the scale.

In the case of option 1, if you don't want to spend $300 on S2000 projectors, you can get their 'little brother the RX-330 low beam projector which runs about $190 a pair. Talk to B.G. about your specific needs, but basically the whole kit would be this one: http://www.theretrofitsource.com/product_info.php?cPath=24&products_id=64

You can choose which bulb, ballast and shroud you want ... if you need help choosing just let me know.

You (or B.G.) will also need to purchase a set of oem aftermarket housings in which to install the retro. The easiest way would be to ask B.G. how much more he wants to do the RX330 package over the MiniH1 one (the hardware is about $130 more for the RX-330).

One word of caution ... the RX-330 projectors have the same overall depth as the FX-Rs which we know fit and are an extremely tight squeeze. B.G. will need to push them as far forward in the headlamp housing as is possible.

Great write up Serge - just an fyi-- if you want the S2Ks you will have to do a little cutting on the two beams. S2Ks run a little big

They're pretty much as good as you're going to get in an H1 bulb.

I had them in my Tahoe quad retro (5000k):
