Tailgate short...

My tailgate seems to continue to eat fuses. Got any ideas where to start looking for the short ?

Every time I replace the fuse and push the button it works maybe once or twice then pop, it doesn't.

disconnect the tail latch electrically and see if it still blows if so it is elsewhere in the vehicle body.
