Taking new direction, new to me Tahoe!!

So I sold my 08 Sierra (bunch of mods) and my 98 Yukon will be sold today!

I went to San Antonio on Monday (1/24/11) and picked up this really nice 2004 Z71 Tahoe.
(thats my brother in the pic)


Wednesday (1/26/11) went straight to the muffler shop and had them cut out the stock muffler and weld on a Borla along with a chrome exhaust tip to get rid of the ugly dull stock pipe coming out of the side. Ordered the K&N CAI and it arrived last night. About to get my chubby ass outside to install it!

Plans, coming soon:
HP Tune
6" lift (Rough country probably)
18x9" Eagle wheels
35" Nitto Trail Grappler
4.56 gears
Amber Cab lights
HD Hood
HD Towing mirrors (i think theyll look pretty bad ass after its lifted)

Let me know what you guys think and about my plans for it!

The Borla sound "purrr-fect!!" great "Touring" tone to it. Not too loud, just right!


Heres the pic of the K&N Installed, did it this morning. Took me about an hour cause the instructions were pretty vague. But got it.

Did you get a 'universal fit' Borla muffler? Where did you get it from?

Did you notice any added performance after the K&N? Or any better mileage?

Its the universal fit Borla Pro XS, got it at my local muffler shop.

I didnt notice much difference with the muffler only, but as soon as i installed the K&N, the exhaust tone changed (bit deeper). Im sure MPG improved but I've been wanting to hear that sound the K&N makes when i step on it so i havent seen any MPG gains lol

Throttle response is way better as well as acceleration. I think I need new plugs and wires though, im sure they havent been changed in its lifetime.
