Ok, so I was reading through the threads dealing with sea foaming the hoe and came across a link to a different forum. This forum was like 46 pages with people raving about adding 1oz Penzoil marine 2 stroke oil to every 5 gallons of gas as ann additive that is better than seafoam.

I read everything involving this and it all made sense and no one had problems with it. has anyone else done this and experienced any issues??

I did this to my tahoe and to my wifes honda civic and we have both had the check engine lights come on 2 days after doing this.. If it wasn't this oil then what a coincidence huh?! I'm going to check what code its giving tomorrow hopefully...

Seam foam is king. I use it we use it at work and it does a great job. Hopefully no damage done but I think you may have been reading some internet fluff.

There a few threads on this subject on here. I have done this on my XL and wife's car for over 2 years. No issues, and have all the benefits stated in that 46+ page thread.

It does not have to be Penzoil, just need to make sure you stay within the ratio.

I do this on my own vehicles. I have not noticed any MPG increases as posted in the numerous Internet threads. Nor have I experieneced any check engine lights or any problems. I have done this on my 01 Mustang, 93 Integra, 04 Yukon, and my 07 Tahoe. And I plan on starting to do this on my recently purchased 01 BMW.

The reason why I do this even though I haven't experienced any MPG gains is because I feel that by adding the oil to the gas I'm helping restore some of the lubricity (sp?) to the fuel that is lost with this crappy a$$ water filled stuff called Ethanol. So really for the 4-5 dollars for a quart of TCW3 oil that treats around $600 or so of fuel it justs gives me some piece of mind that's it's helping prolong the life of my fuel pump and injectors.

And that's all I have to say about that. (in a Forest Gump voice) :lol2:

I do this in my 03 dodge diesel. I saw about .5 mpg gain. But I really noticed it quieted down the chatter caused by ULSD. now it idles and runs a lot smoother.

Oil in the gasoline? I wonder if you're plugging up your cats or fouling your O2 sensros.

I've never seafoamed a vehicle, I do add it to the gasoline in a 1.5 ratio to the recommended amount but never directly through the intake as I see is very popular.

I use Hydrotex Essentialube. Simular to Seafaom but it has more lubrication.. Or so it says.
