Yeah, I can go through the setup and manually adding my year, make, model and it will communicate with the modules. I am concerned that a VIN is programmed in the unit-so wondering if others see that.

I want to reprogram my BCM with my VIN - features were turned off during upfitter conversion on my SSV.

Oddly enough, I was trying to reprogram a keyfob in also and it failed.

Hate to open an older post but seems the most knowledgeable folks with Tech2 devices run through here. I bought my Tech2 last year and just now getting to reprograming my BCM to enable previously disabled features. Question I have is there is a vin stored in the unit and its not my truck-that sound right? Also, having a hell of a time with TechConnect failures when running in pass-thru mode - getting E9047 error when the SPS site attempts to lock the tool. Has anyone seen this in their quests?

Added bonus - SPS2 website is not pulling my VIN either.

Maybe connecting with Joe might be helpful, if he can spare the time. I am usually pretty tech savy (I do work in IT) but this has been frustrating for sure!
We could certainly do that.

Also @sunureu13 just completed a BCM reprogram with help from the Techs at Techline Connect, using an alternate route, rather than the tech 2 Pass-Thru route. I have asked him to produce a series of photos showing the steps that the Tech walked him through to successfully complete the reprogramming.

That would be awesome - anything that helps is appreciated.

@sunureu13 Joe indicated you may have alternative ways to connect up SPS programing - I am having difficulties with running pass through using my TECH2.

@Fubar0715 once you get your programming figured out, if you don’t mind keep us updated with your processes; whether it’s the same method @sunureu13 used or via some other steps.
I’m not sure if this is the best place for it, or if it would be better to update this thread with a link to a new separate one that you create. In any case, I’m sure that you won’t be the only one with this question.

Sure, I can make a new thread once I kinda figure the process.
