I heard this is basically the design of the real thing and is shaped like that to reduce costs of the stainless steel body otherwise it would be so expensive nobody would buy it, but it’s so ugly now that nobody will buy it anyway.

I read something different, teslas own blog said the reason it’s that shaped like this is because the body is the exoskeleton, it had to be that shape to create the strength that it needed in lieu of a body on frame. The same reason the stealth bomber looks that way.

I’m still laughing every time I see this:

The stealth bomber looks that way to deflect radar, it has nothing to do with strength. And car makers have been building unibody vehicles forever that don’t need those flat angular shape. But really, do you think Tesla is going to say they did it because it’s cheaper? Anyway I stick with what I heard, which came from insiders. Their press releases or blogs are bound to be bs, they’re meant to help sales and aren’t necessarily truthful.

I just have to toss in my 2 cents. I like that it stands apart on design. It looked like the roof hides a bed cover that rolls back out over it.

For towing and probably hauling range this thing would still work for my needs. I drag my boat from under my deck to a boat ramp several houses down most of the time and still only 5 miles away other times.

I do need to haul topsoil and mulch for yard work on occasion and haul some loads to the dump from time to time.

When I'm not towing or hauling the range suits my needs most of the time too.

I believe there are lots of people like me out there.

You're so butthurt about a vehicle that you don't even have to buy it's hilarious.
