ARGH

Was waiting to order a '25 Z71 diesel w/bench seat for family road trips

What are you thinking Chevy?
Not only that, they won't let you get the 9-seat config with the Max Tow Pkg.

Just some absurd option configuration limits that GM has placed on this new refresh - none of which have any logic based on the physical limitations of having those options paired together.

Glad I got the 9-seat XL w/ Duramax that I have - GM has made this refresh a non-option for our family rig.

I feel you on this.

We are annoyed by the way GM has bundled (required) other packages for the 6.2L V8 on certain Suburban trim. The Z71 requires you to get a package that includes the Air Ride suspension with the 6.2. For the Premier trim, it requires you to get the Rear Seat entertainment system with the 6.2.

We might just end up going with a 1/2 ton pickup and see how GM alters their option bundling for SUVs going forward. We liked the 6.2 for its power over the 5.3 but we also know that GM is a few years away from introducing updates to the NA V8. Perhaps the base NA V8 will get a power bump that will mitigate some of the need for a 6.2 in the future.

Patiently (not really) waiting on the Yukon Build & Price to go live and was playing with the Suburban B&P.... Am I correct that you can only get front bench seats with the LS which is locked into the 5.3 engine? What in the actual hell? And I couldn't find the 2nd row bench seat option on there either. Correction, I found it. But it kicks me into the 5.3 engine again. Well, guess I'm not getting a Suburban, unless the dealer can override some of these nonsensical restrictions.

My dealer can't seem to build a Suburban with middle bench with the 6.2 or 3L diesel either. I asked them to kick it up the chain and find out if this is permanent all model year long or just a temporary ordering peculiarity.

Wish we had a Chev. insider here to factually ‘splain what the issue is w/ many of these constraints, having been in the bus. prior some are based on JIT or other issues but only someone currently @ Chev/GM can give us factual explanations.

The Arlington assembly plant is not to far from me and I've been watching local inventory levels and noticed mostly base models and Z71's available from dealers. Not much GMC inventory yet and no Escalades yet to be had. This rollout seems to be going very slow right now

I feel as if this may be a tactic/regulations GM is playing with on limiting options for the introductory year. Just like getting a 2025 Yukon XL Denali Ultimate - there is talk you can not get Second-Row Executive Seating in the Yukon XL but only in the Yukon. Probably their tactic on the first year, but 2026 more availability.

I'm wondering if GM says the 2nd row bench with Max Tow Pkg is limited as it plays too much in the GVWR's. A lot of regulations they may be up against?
Kind of like all the Gov. Certification Processing I'm sure they had to go through to allow for a 24 In. wheel size option. < (quote from TFL Truck - Road test on 25 Suburban)

In a perfect world my order would be 2025 Yukon XL Denali Ultimate 3.0L w/Super Cruise and Second-Row Executive Seating... But again, I'm probably asking for things not available.
We shall see when Online Build opens up for GMC!
