Woo! Took off at 11 yesterday to finish getting the truck put back together. Moog inner TRE, new bellows, Kryptonite outer TRE, Moog upper control arms, DirtKing camber pins / camber lockouts, hardware. Between all this, and the Helltech sway bars, steering is tighter than prom night now!

She’s over at the alignment shop (again), and hopefully will be done when I’m off work.

Plaza Tire tried to charge me $330 (2 hours custom labor) to set the camber because "it's a custom alignment". I've been going to the same Plaza Tire for 16 years, and have had a "lifetime alignment" through them on every vehicle I've ever owned, and always bought my tires there.

Guess who's setting their camber in their garage and never going back to that Plaza Tire?

FWIW, I have lifetime alignment on all of my vehicles through Firestone, and they have a similar policy. But $330 is a little steep.

Had he told me 1 hour labor, at a reasonable rate, I would have told him to go ahead and do it. 2 hours at $165/hr was absurd. I know what they pay their techs.

Did my camber myself by eyeball.

Took it to a different Plaza Tire (closer to my house, actually!) and had them just give it the ole toe-n-go, since I paid for lifetime alignments. This location was WAY cooler about the truck being modified.

Final result: camber at 1.1° and 1.3°, toe zeroed. I don't think I can get the camber EXACTLY even because of how the DirtKing kit works. Instead of a slider, they're lockout holes.I can't imagine that the holes are less than .2° degrees apart.

I may dial the 1.3° side back one hole and take it back to that Plaza and see where it lands. At least then I'll know how far apart the holes are!

NOW. Time for some 22x10s!

Kinda curious to know what a 20x10 looks like on a slammed truck. Somewhere in the neighborhood of 275/45/20 tire size?

Why 22x10's if only a 275 series tire? Unless you're going for the stretched tire look.

You got hellwig sways, Apoc RCA's, lowered, considering 22x10's... Throw a 305/40R22 on there and you'd really be on rails!
