So I have noticed many threads where people are asking about Tread Wright tires, but I wanted to create a centralized thread specifically related to Tread Wright. Post your pictures here and feel free to share your experiences or overall opinions about these tires.

265/75/R16 Treadwright Guard Dog M/T's. Havent had the chance to have them installed yet but initial impressions are good. Tread pattern is exactly what I was looking for especially with winter coming up. I dont need an extreme mud tire and these fall perfectly in the middle ground.2011-10-08_13-04-41_260.png

I can't wait until you get those babies mounted and balanced.

I'd like to talk caucuses for a moment if I may. I've been wondering if the caucuses you choose have any aesthetic properties as compared to the tread? The reason I bring this up is because certain Tread Wright tires seem to have the side walls protruding beyond the tread pattern; where others seem to look more like a traditional mud tire where the treads stick out past the sidewall. I'm being to wonder if the choice in caucuses have anything to do with the different in appearance from one set to another???

I am about to order the Gaurd Dog M/Ts in 285/75/16. I will request Goodyear Wrangler MT/R carcasses. Second choice will be BFG mud or a/t carcasses. They usually fulfill these requests from what I've read. Does anyone know if Treadwright tire sizes run big? That's what I've been reading.

Also, I read that these retreads are heavier than new tires. I got rid of my 22in wheels because the weight killed ball joints and gas mileage. I can't find anywhere how much these tires weigh. Anyone know?

My 265/75's are 32.2" tall. If you go to their site the tire information is listed for each size.

265/75/16 BFG's run 31.9, 52lbs per tire. Treadwright tires seem to run a little big wich is cool. My only reservation is tire weight. Treadwright does not post the weights. I hate heavy wheel/tire combos, they kill performance. I was going to order General red letter Grabbers until I found out they are the heaviest 285/75/16 on the market! I am going to call Treadwright on tire weights Monday morning. I will probably order anyway then blow my ball joints out for the fourth time, lol. Right now my wheel/tire combo is 65lbs., with 16in 02 stockers and 285/75 Mastercrafts. A guy on a Jeep forum has the Treadwrights on stockers at 85lbs total. My 22s where 90lbs thats why I took them off. Treadwrights seem like an awsome deal, I have done hours of research, the only drawback may be they are heavy. How heavy, I will call and find out.

Congratulations dude, I can't wait to see them and keep us advised on their condition, how they wear, how they perform, and if you are pleased with your purchase overall.

From all the research I've done it appears that Treadwright produces a quality product and a great price. However, I want to see some reviews from everyday owners/drivers to determine if they live up to the hype.
