Hey y'all...... so I installed the vette servo five or six weeks ago and was well. I dropped my pan and changed the filter a few weeks ago and recently started hearing an interesting sound. When I really hook up and get on it the tranny squeeks like I'm running over a mouse when it shifts from 1-2 and 2-3...... only at WOT though and only when I hook up real good and get a good full pull going. When I drive normal or even get on it a bit it shifts great and there is no sounds and even when it makes the sound it shifts fine.

I did have to tweak my linkage a bit to get my pan off and think it might be the linkage out of sorts from being bent out of the way but that is just a guess...anyone else have this happen? It didn't do it until I dropped the pan and changed the filter though so I am leaning away from an issue with the servo but I'm no transmission expert so again pure specualation...

Oh yeah...... no doubt about it, it happens on the shift when the "clutch" engages just before it drops into gear...... tranny for sure.

Not sure what your problem might be honestly but I have posted before that after I researched the absolute dogshit outta my transmission rebuild, it's risky putting in servos like that without at least pressure testing the tranny in a transmission shop. I was told in conversations with these experts that it was roughly a 25% chance something would go wrong with a 100k tranny after adding a servo set. The reason is that by putting in one or two stronger aftermarket parts like a servo, you change the dynamics of the transmission pieces and how they are forced to function at a higher performance.

If i mash my tahoe hard, and let off a bit between 1 and 2 shift and then mash it hard again. Almost like if you were shifting a manual... i can get the belt on the motor to squeal, sometimes it squeals a lot like if you going up hill or something. It only does it under full power and increases with any amount of load (i.e. going up hill) I can also chirp the tires by doing this. So i would check to make sure it is really your tranny sqeaking.

I agree 100% makes perfect sense and I knew that going in. I am not too worried about it, especially since I have to go to such extremes to make it happen. I mean, how often really am I going to be driving like I'm on a drag strip. The only reason I even got it to do it in the first place is because I put in my e-fans and 105 octane corn gas and I was driving like a ****-ass..... 99% of the time I have my 20mo old daughter inthe truck with me and even getting over 2KRPMs is out of the ordinary.......thnx for all the input though fellas'

Sorry to Hijack this thread, but it was the closest to what I have happening...Grocery Getter is your noise getting worse?

My 02 yukon, 122k miles, 5.3L (stock tranny): same mouse squeak when shifts into second under any condition (hard accel, light accel doesn't matter) I can hear it when shifting the column shifter from 3 to 2 or from 1 to 2, while sitting in the driveway). Hear it while driving only when it shifts from 1st to second...too much noise to know if it happens when it downshifts when slowing down. Tranny has had fluid change every 30-50k over it's life, and seems to shift smoothly under any condition. Any idea if this is something to worry about? Thanks for any input.
