I had to use the spare twice already. Picked up an old worn wheel weight in the middle of no where then about 3 months later the right front tire blew out and my wife was only driving around 30 mph. She lost interest in Bridgestones real quick.

Bridgestone tires are crap. I like the BFG Fortera tires. They are quiet and traction on wet and dry pavement is really good.

Goodyear makes the Fortera, not BFG.

LOL you are right. My bad. I should have known that cuz I hate BFG tires to. :D The fortera triple thread tire is what I used on my 2004 Tahoe. That tire was great. On my current Tahoe with 22's that tire (305/40) is not available. Atleast it wasn't when I bought the wheel/tire combo. :(

I think it is the Fortera SL model not the triple thread. Or are they the same thing? Tires i got on now is some weird name brand called Vendetta I think. Told the tire guy I wanted something really quiet and he recommended these cuz he said the triple threads were not available.

I replaced the Bridgestones with Michelins. I would never give Goodyear a dime of my money unless it comes with the car.

I had Forteras on my 06 Envoy Denali and they barely lasted 25k miles and had pretty much no grip in deep snow.

I had my Forteras for about a year until I sold the Tahoe. In TX weather they were great. Never got to try them in snow cuz it didn't snow here while I had them. :D
