Hey guys. I found something interesting today. I was checking the front end for play in the suspension items when I was changing the oil and rotating the tires this morning. I was getting some play as of I had a ball joint on the passenger side. I took a closer look and the upper control arm and it was moving back and forth on the bolt. I busted out the Haynes manual and torqued all my upper control arm bolts to 140 ft-lbs. surprisingly they were all somewhat lose. It made the ride a little tighter and I don’t have as much wondering as I used to with the truck. I think it’s something to check after you get an alignment or some front end work, because whoever touched that front end last, has never heard of a torque wrench before. Do these bolts come loose over time? Anyone ever have this experience because once I tighten the bolts up, No more play in the upper control arm.
