So I have a 2008 Burb with a cloth bench. I'd like to change out for captains chairs. It seems as though GM didn't make cloth captains, at least that I've found. So I'm thinking about finding el cheapo set of leather captains and buying new cloth covers for them to match my current interior. Several things concern me about this, not the least of which is that this might be a really dumb idea.

That being covered (pun intended) what do you interior gurus think? Do they make covers for 2nd row captains that are of good quality? Would they cover the arm rest, or is that something I'd have to have customed? I don't need heat, power or anything else, just functional non-smoker's seats that recline and fold or do whatever they're supposed to do. I'm looking at parted-out trucks on part-finder engines now, but if anyone has any suggestions I'm listening. I know this sounds ridiculous, and it probably is, but it's past bedtime and I took some cough meds with codine, so I'm running with it.

Is this another chapter of my autobiography, "It Seemed Like a Good Idea at the Time"?

Not sure of the answer to your questions but why not cover the fronts with a katzkin kit and have leather interior

Sounds like the most logic think to do. Plus it would look good with the new wheels!

Leather sucks if left in sun so I'd want cloth also leather cracks. That's my opinion on it. Personally if I did leather I'd get something else like **** or ostrich

Yeah my reasoning won't really convince anyone but me, but basically I've had leather and cloth in the past and right now cloth is the way to go for me. Perhaps on my next truck I'll get the heated and cooled seats, but for now cloth it shall be.

We know what you really wanted. Is that lunch?

Here's an idea. Get the captains chairs and replace with cloth from front seats. I'll even PM you my VIN so that you could get the stay covers for the front seats. My truck has black cloth seats. It's an 07. The only problem I see is the armrest, or lack thereof.
