thinking if adding a powered sub

As the title suggests I'm thinking of adding a powered sub to my 09 Yukon it's got the stick stereo without nav without bose. I'm just looking for something to make the bass a little better, my question is for installing one, how difficult is it? Amd do I just pull the audio signal from one of the back speakers? Also for power could I just pull that from the rear power socket? How have you guys done this? I remember looking it up awhile ago but can't seem to find what I'm looking for now so sorry if it's a double post lol
