Thinking of buying third row seat, need help

So looking at buying a set of third row seating but need some help on pricing these things. Im looking at a set on eBay for 870 shipped to AK from lower 48. What do you guys think. Im going to try and see if i can find a set around my home town, there are quite a few yukons, suburbans, and tahoes that I am hoping someone will want to separate with their third row seating while also having the black leather. Open for discussions. Thanks.

I recently ordered a set thru ebay. I paid $560 shipped. The seller guy took them to the UPS store for packing and shipping. They simply put them into two thin cardboard boxes with no packing material. Both of the seats arrived damaged to the point they were unusable. One seat frame was bent and both had all of the release lever knobs broken off. The one that I was able to mount in my Tahoe wouldn't raise back.
I got a full refund from ebay. I will try again at some point but these things need to be on a pallet after they are boxed and packed as they are heavy and are damaged easily. If you can find them locally, you will be better off. Who knows what they will go through coming from the lower 48? Hopefully others had a better ebay experience with the third row seats than I did. Lol.

That sounds about right. I would hope that if someone would take them into the store that they would package them up better. Im guessing the store is not held accountable for their crappy packing job?

The seller guy has a claim with UPS. Hopefully they pay him. I just ordered another set. Should be here in about ten days.
If he paid for insurance he should get reimbursed. The shippers were totally negligent. UPS issued a call tag and I guess they went back to a claim center. UPS called me directly to set up the pick up so a claim was generated.
It was a royal pain to deal with everything though.

Thanks I'll keep that in mind if I end up having to ship from the 48 I am trying to find some around my family for a good price and get them to ship it for me so I don't run into bad packaging. Idk if I want to trust someone I don't know and can't hold accountable for packaging them up right.

Just got my second set in. These were in much better shape and packaged much better. However, one of the seat backs won't raise back. Looks like these will be going back as well. CRAP! Two in a row...screwed. Lol. Looks like another ebay claim and then start the bidding process all over. If i could find them locally then at least I could inspect them before hand. Oh well.

sounds crazy, I hate buying things without seeing them when it comes to big purchases like this. I really hope I can find a set around my family so I can have them check them out good for me before they send them up to. Would be better if I could get someone on this god forsaken island to let loose of theirs, but no luck yet. Good luck hope you get a good set in soon.

The seller is trying hard to make it right. He had me drop the bad seat off at an upholstery shop for an estimate. He said he would refund me whatever the repair cost is. But now the other seat is acting up too so now I'm just sick of the situation. Lol. I guess the best bet is to try and buy the third row seats as close to 2014 as possible. Not all ebay sellers are up front about what year they come from though. They just say the standard 07-14.
