No way I would leave oil in there for 15,000 miles I don't care what kind of oil it is. Your mechanic is probably telling you that cause he wants your business on a motor overhaul.

I would love to see what your Blackstone Oil sample results look like.No typo. It is Amsoil Signature Series synthetic designed for 25k highway miles. I change at 15k for combined driving per my mechanic's recommendations.
No offense was meant by anyone. I asked the question because it is highly unusual for someone to change oil at 15k miles on these trucks. That does not mean that it is wrong or anything else negative with the practice, it simply means that this specific oil change mileage interval is different than the norm. Regarding opinions, we all have opinions and we are all free to express them in a respectful manner. It's 30w oil. I'm not recommending anyone do what I do; I simply stated what I do. Everyone here is empowered with the ability to do their own research and draw their own conclusions. There is lots out there on Amsoil Signature Series. Agree or disagree with information available, hopefully future responses at least have the benefit of the information before forming and posting opinions.
