yep, that's what I did - got the longest warranty. I also change the oil every 5K and don't worry about the engine.

You'll lose more money getting rid of it than an engine costs. If that's your only concern, just keep it.

2021 expedition here. Between cam phasers and cdf drums, I think I'll go back to my 1967 vw bug. Actually, the expedition runs exceptionally well. Oil changes at 5k miles and next week trans fluid and differential fluid changes@ 37k miles . My neighbor just purchased a 2024 Yukon with 6.2 L. He's a lifelong **** hands on auto engineer......well see how his adventures go. His last Yukon, he replaced thousands upon thousands of $$$ worth of components. Will we ever learn???

I got rid of our 2020 Expedition for those exact reasons. The tranny was starting to shift rough between 3-4 at 30k miles. My buddy had to redo his timing system(due to worn out phasers) and replace his transmission on his 2018 at 67k miles. So the writing was on the wall. The CDF drum issue was not fixed by Ford until August 15 2022 which means you will eventually have to replace the CDF drum in order to avoid a kaboom.

This is pretty good feedback. I don't have any immediate plans to get rid of it. If I were going to get rid of it, I would be replacing it with a GMC pickup with a gas engine.

I have ESP out to 125k miles. Now let's just see what happens these next few years

And here I’ve been considering trading our 13 ESV for an 18+ Navigator because of how bad the 15+ GM SUV’s are. I guess I have been saying everything is trash now.

In October of 2023 I purchased a 2023 6.2L GMC Yukon Denali. I have only put 9,100 miles on it and am thinking of selling it. I am seriously concerned about the engine issues that these vehicles are having.. I wish I knew what % of these 6.2L engines were failing so I could decide if it were worth the gamble of keeping it. In any event, I paid about $92K for it and put a $1700 set oz Yokohama Geolanders on it. If I were to sell it what is my best avenue and what should I ask for it? Craigs list? Facebook Marketplace? I guess another option would be to trade it in to the dealer for a model that is not having this issue..
I've had no problems with my engine. Although, I permanently disabled engine stop-start that could be why I'm trouble free.
