Found a lot of information in regards swapping in the third row seat to the older generation PPV's--I just wanted to confirm that it works on the latest generation. Lucked out and found a brand new matching interior third row takeout off Ebay for a fair price, and was semi local to me, so I did not have to pay for shipping. Seller also had the storage tray the fits behind the third row seat, and makes a flat platform when third row seat is in down position. Seats were brand new with plastic still on the headrests.

Got home and pulled up the carpet in the cargo area, and dug out the sealant from all the factory threaded holes. Unlike the earlier generation third row seat, there are no "brackets" to source--mounts are attached to the third row seat (also it does not flip forward like earlier generation). Just need to order a new set of third row seatbelts from the dealership, and the swap will be complete. I will post the seat belt part numbers when I get them, should anyone else be interested in upgrading.

Hello i have a 2016 Tahoe PPV trying to add third row seats. I pulled the carpet up and only see 2 u shape brakets welled to floor of cargo area and 2 hole which look like the pegs on front of 3rd row seat go. And no more holes for other seat mounting bolts. The seat looks like it has 7 mounting bolt hole. Am i missing something or are the other hole have to be drilled out? Please help!!!!!

I'm in the same boat with my 2016. I have the seat and the belts just looking for the tray and the bolts. Does anyone have any pictures of their third row project and has anyone swapped out the second row for captains chairs?

All I had to do for my 2013 SSV was get the brackets and cut holes in the carpet. Traded someone for the captains chairs.

So to be clear, one needs to drill thru the carpet to mount the seats to the floor, correct? Taking the carpeting out first is to locate the holes and dig out the sealant...
Did anyone take any pictures during the process? Thanks!

Yes, I am wondering how to remove the trim, etc. to remove the carpet. No obvious screws to remove...
