Those that are lowered with 22s, anyone have a near stock ride? What's your setup?

I've got an 06 Denali and I'm wondering if I can lower it with 22s and stay near a stock ride? I've seen some people with 2\3s talk about serious impacts to ride and that's not something I'm willing to sacrifice.

I'm not sure if mine has air ride. It's still in transit from the dealer I bought it from

From what it sounds like, if I have auto level, it might help quiet a bit.

Cut and pasted from the sticky above ^^^^. I love the ride quality I have right now with the components listed below. The only thing I would consider changing is adding adjustable shocks at all four corners to control the ride quality a little more. But then again, I'm probably a bit more picky than most.

Considered upgrades:
- Eventually would like some lowering keys in the front, and remove a couple dead coils in the rear to lower it another inch or so.

Brief impressions of setup:
The front rides very smooth and controlled with the Bilstein shocks. Would like the shocks to be a bit more firm for the front but overall ride is excellent.

The rear ride is much improved since installing the Bilstein shocks in the rear. Very controlled, firm but not too harsh at all.

A little low here on 22s. Very happy with how the ride feels. But took some tweaking, and had to put the time & components to make it so. Just about dialing it in, and should be good.

I have a 3/5 Mcgaughy's drop with free travel mod on 22" esky wheels with 285/45 tires and no complaint what so ever truck sits at 32" all four corners

Just keep in mind, the fronts shocks will be specific to the DJM lowering arms as they have a different lower mount than the stock arms.

I do see a lot of "no complaints" but would you say any of your setups ride "near stock?"

my 3/5-6 i feel rides very well. Stiffer than stock but not harsh at all. I have older guys ie 60s-70s that have a hard time getting in that ive done my custom 3/5-6 kit on and no issues or complaints at all. If a 60-70 year old guy with back pains has no complaints a guy in their 20-30s will be fine also. My springs are by far the best riding.
