on a 5.3, will it benefit any or lose tq?

I think with the shorter runners you'll probably lose a little bit of tq but gain some hp on the top end.

Ok I found me a fast intake for the low price of...free. But my engine builder suggests an ls6 intake would work better.

Tell your builder to use the FAST. I highly doubt the Ls6 intake be better.

I cant argue with that at all. Intakes only good for about 10hp when blower is like 130hp. Thats huge difference, and the best bolt on period.

I dunno, looking around I see alot of guys using the stock ls6 intake over the fast.

a blower is great but at $4000+ I'm not doing that anytime soon. I'll spray the rods out of it before I put a blower on it
